The earth produces natural ingredients packed with loads of nutritious health benefits that are important to improving and preventing many health issues. I've been doing fitness training and blending smoothies for many years and love to share and invent various smoothie recipes to help motivate people to blend their own goodness especially the health conscious.
Me Blend was born to help people to follow along with ease through videos and a broken down step-by-step guide through my website where they can also see the listed health benefits and nutritional info for each smoothie recipes I produce.
To produce a wide variety of smoothie recipes packed with great health benefits to help improve the lives of many people
Here I used XD for designing wireframes, rapid prototyping, UI/web and mobile responsive designs.
Working on editing & organising my images throughout the web project and also doing close retouch modifying graphics before importing to other software tools & for the web.
I used this to create the logo and working with various vector files.
This was a learning curve for me as I have not used video editing software before so I self taught & took some online courses to help develop the knowledge/skill. I turned my kitchen into a mini studio where I do video production & then import into premiere pro for editing.
Here I import all my photography taking on my DSLR camera which contains quality smoothie shots. Once I import all the images I then start to edit.
This tool is very useful/powerful for organising all my workload e.g. notes/planning, checklists, design system, project road map and loads more.
To help motivate people who are health conscious to blend their own smoothies and for those who are not as health conscious to help encourage them to see the benefits of blending their own goodness.
My vision is to be a positive and effective influencer in the fruit and veg health benefit smoothie arena, motivating and encouraging everyone to be proactive in being more health conscious and blending healthy smoothies. To create a wide variety of smoothies through fruits, veg, super foods and more, giving people loads of smoothie recipe options to blend.
To produce a wide variety of smoothie recipes packed with great health benefits to help improve the lives of people especially those that may have some health problems.
To be as natural and honest when providing smoothie recipes and making a real positive impact in peoples lives.
Trying to come up with a name that will fit well was not easy, but I got there in the end. I started doing market research, asking around lots of people their thoughts on some few names and early stage logo sketches and over time with iteration I managed to finalised the logo.
I carefully selected the red graphic in the logo, I feel it's right for what I'm looking for. The red graphic symbolise a spinning liquid that you would see inside a blender. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the logo in vector also just to say that I'm not naturally a graphic logo designer but because I know Adobe Illustrator well and working with vector files before and with the can do attitude I spent quite some time working on the logo.

Below are just a few on many competitor research that I've done, I needed to see and understand how others are creating their smoothie recipes and more. I studied various website in terms of content, how easy is their step-by-step guide and how useful are their information.
I've notice that most of the small individuals on YouTube and blog sites don't generally display nutritional info, calories per smoothie recipes.
Some on YouTube channel doing videos on how to make smoothies generally don't have a website and so they primarily focus on just making the video content.
Some that do have a website which displays content e.g. smoothie descriptions, ingredients& methods, generally don't have much on the video content side.
You do get those small few that do have both Youtube channel and the website.
Another thing I see from my competitor research is that the majority that make smoothie recipes whether on YouTube or website or both typically don't just do smoothies alone but do other things e.g. food recipes, general life style, Vlogging about their daily activities & also some sites that only showcase other peoples smoothies.
I'm creating Me Blend to focus on loads of smoothie recipes and things that relate to it e.g. blenders, staying fit and keeping healthy. I'm going to create a website to show all my smoothie recipes plus creating a YouTube channel. For the website I'm going to display each smoothie nutritional info, ingredients, health benefits, method, quality photos & descriptions.
I thought I'll do a quick survey research to ask a few people some general questions about smoothies. I created the form in Google form/survey then invited some people to come and take part in the survey. Below are just a few of the responses I got.
